These memories, they fade away, but not the vision If I pull the trigger I can’t try again Slip into a coma, wake from my death I just can’t see myself falling like this Don’t make me get through this (Let me be) Don’t make me get through to you (No one ever will) No one can ever remember what I felt tonight Why should I regret the things which you did? No time to ever remember, no mind to ever forget her One day now I’ll spin the clock back, spin until I hit the floor Wake up in this false endeavor, always make your lie secure Don’t you ever forget about me, not until the waves cover the shore and I can’t see your face anymore The words are falling off my fingers, I wish I could write my last goodbye This cage surrounds me, empower these walls, they hear me, they feel me, Give me strength to break these walls, and kill the ones who chained me here Don’t make me get through this Don’t make me get through to you No one can ever remember what I felt tonight I can’t forgive what you put me through
3.
How did we even end up like this? We’re never in each other’s line of sight anymore That’s because we’re back to back right now I just can’t find a way to win this fight anymore. We’re dealing with something fragile And you need to care enough Once glass shatters, it can’t be replaced Is this shattered or do you think we’ll be okay? When everything is broken, and the edges are all sharp Be careful not to stab yourself in the heart. How do you even see me like this? You’re never in your normal state of mind anymore That’s because you’re looking for something not there You’re throwing fuel on this fire, keep throwing fuel on this fire. Why is everything different now when nothing’s changed? We should know our roles better by now. I have dreams of this city burning to the ground If we keep lighting fires this whole world will end. There must be more to this This cannot be the end Turn around and look me in the eye Then make me feel alive.
4.
As I walk along, there’s a strange familiar series of faces in my path That stretch along the sky like clouds that spell memories of you They stay that way as we stumble along this road that we call history Who are we anyway? Where does our story go? Let’s take a chance on us tonight, it might be all right, it might be love Let’s forget all our fears and just pretend that we’ll be just fine, come home with me tonight And if it all goes wrong, we can just blame each other Destroy the evidence, pretend it never happened We always knew that this would not be easy We are both still haunted by shadows from our past You tell me all the time that you want this to last forever So then you should stop trying to tear down what we’ve built together There is light to be found in this darkness Sometimes you need a little time away from the mirror To change how you see yourself in your reflection Let’s take a chance on us tonight, it might be all right, it might be love Let’s forget all our fears and just pretend that we’ll be just fine, don’t leave me here tonight Open the floodgates, let reality come crashing in Open the floodgates, let reality in Like the biggest of tidal waves, like the biggest tidal wave Count the letters in your name, are they the same as mine? Count the letters in your name, will they be the same someday? Will we outrun the shadows, or will they catch up to us? Do you want to try? Just say the word
5.
This air never felt so good upon my breathing I feel so alive tonight in this skin, I can’t be stopped now And now I’m 15 minutes away from what we call a disaster I feel my heart beat down these halls, one too many times Say the words that you need to say, or this all falls down on you Memories all fade away, like they used to So let’s murder this love and cover it up and pretend that we never killed it Let’s burn down the house where we used to live There’s no more room for love in these rooms anymore And our room will burn the fastest We’ve lost control, put out the flame This fire that sparked our love it won’t be the same Rise from the ashes above the ground You buried my heart beneath the sound. I’m still searching for an exit, will someone cut me loose But we never seemed to find a reason to
6.
You’ve been here since before I remember You’ve always been in my life You’ve always been a part of my family It was too early for you to die Time goes by so fast, and now I’ll never stop missing you There’s a crushing pain in my chest when I think about how much you mean No one will every replace you, it just can’t happen Life won’t be the same after this, now that you’re gone. Nothing I say will bring you back, nothing I say will bring you back to us. Let me wake up from this nightmare, let me wake up, let me wake up Let me wake up from this nightmare, and bring you back to us. Nothing in the world will convince me that you’re gone. Nothing in the world will change why we feel alone. You were around just yesterday, suddenly you’re not here anymore After we relive our memories, what should we do? Rest in peace, rest in peace my friend. You always said that everything will be okay. Nothing I say will bring you back. Everything, everything is wrong now.
7.
I want the blood from my mouth to land on your doorstep So you can slip on it Consequently creating a fountain of only red That leads to a lake of rotting corpses On the other side of the lake you’ll find my doorsteps But what’s the point of them now if we don’t exist, no we don’t exist We can’t undo what we’ve done to ourselves This situation involves nobody else Not another soul in sight Nobody can see this deep red lake On the other side of the lake you’ll find my doorsteps But what’s the point of them now if we don’t exist, no we don’t exist You used to find me where we don’t exist, on the other side of the lake You will find all the damage that I’ve done on the other side, where we don’t exist

Singularity 04:19
Cells create the structure of the fence that surrounds us Retrace what I felt and turn it into words that I say Someone will find the answer if there is one It’s just a mix of words you cannot hear and a bunch of lines you cannot speak Sensitivity Morph the stand that we take for this cause and let her change the way that I feel There’s no way you could possibly say that Notoriety A steady savage that hasn’t been seen The world never heard you leave your mark When fantasy becomes everything then everything is real A fragment for reaching the completion The pleasure in making advances to the whole Your problems are forcing through the order The spiteful motion to repair our broken hearts Oh… nothing is everything An impression against making the results your own The satisfaction in taking advantage of the whole Your troubles are breaking into the surface Finish the bad ending so I can start over Cells create the answer is the impossibility The future will hold the secrets of the past
9.
When you look into a mirror the world you see is a reflection of the world you are in This reflection should be identical because What is inside a mirror is not another world, it is only a reflection The things I see inside should only be the same as everything around me Why then is not the case? When I look into a mirror I see things that are not there when I turn around I see pain, suffering, and death in the mirror What is inside a mirror is not another world, it is only a reflection The things I see inside are somehow not the same as everything behind me Now why is this happening? I no longer think that the world inside the mirror Is the same as the world I’m in I will find the truth
10.
As we bounce off the walls we begin to fall together Yet we catch one another, cause we’re doing all, we’re doing all we can Suspended on thoughts of what could happen, yeah Our lives they are changing, it’s happening, yeah This sound is what I like I feel it, I hope you feel it Yes I hope that you do. I put my trust in you Cause you know I do, it’s true that’s what I do you know it’s true So can this craftsmanship bring us something all together? As we play for one another, cause we’re doing all, we’re doing all we can Suspended, it’s spinning, in my life, yeah Inviting this ally, the air it begins to clear These sounds they all come so easy I feel it, intriguing Why so intriguing? Yes you know I do, I put my trust in you It’s true, I do
11.
Stay with me, don’t make me see this war through on my own Speak to me, don’t leave me in the dark again We hide alone in our little separate worlds in our souls To protect them from monsters like you We turn our backs from what we know is happening And convince ourselves to justify the things that we’ve done This war is killing me slowly, and you keep pushing me down This chaos is clouding our thoughts, but deep down we know Alaro is lost This land that we all once loved lies in wait of a final judgment But the people who cared for it will never see it coming You will never be their God, they can’t see the truth anymore Don’t you even waste your breath, there’s no saving this Stay with me, we will fight until we end this war And I’ll tear this world apart and rebuild it over and over again Speak to me, I’ll be the God you need me to be I’ll die for this world if I have to This war is killing me slowly, and you keep pushing me down
12.
Seems the ocean means much more to you than I do Or the smoke that fills your lungs inside his room Maybe you just aren’t seeing what we all do But believe me, it ain’t too hard to presume But your eyes are bluer than the water out there And I’ve seen the sky’s a dull grey just like mine Just promise you can at least say that you cared And I’ll promise to forget this and I’ll be just fine Just leave everything you knew behind. I’m out of sight, so I must be out of mind The coast is calling out your name now. Just leave, don’t give me a reason why After several weeks and hours have gone by, Yeah I know I should be over you somehow Now you’re like the blackest ocean so deceiving The tainted water pulling you into its grasp But I’ve been learning how to keep myself breathing And soon enough your smile will be part of my past We’re out too deep and we can’t keep this We’ve sunk beneath these waves. We’ve sunk, and now we drown Seems the ocean means much more to you than I do The coast is calling out your name

Dreamstate 05:13
There’s darkness ahead, and it’s easy to get lost Follow the searchlight, it will guide you through this madness Move towards the white light and start to think it’s all over Turn around at the last second and quickly make for the surface Reality is guilty, the secrets are inside of us. We’re looking for the answers everyday Insanity is gripping, the shadows are surrounding us, We’re hanging on the edges, Still alive In the void between life and death you find the truth about yourself The truth is a terrible crime, but maybe some crimes are necessary Bring me to the beginning to find the answer Swallowed by the darkness torment tries to consume me Is it right to expect a good ending to the story of my strange life? The abyss tries to pull me deeper, But I will find the strength to move on I am the body which you found washed ashore Tired and cold, a look of despair on my face Will you run and tell the world what you saw? Or will you push me back to sea and walk away? I am the sea monster. I break those who venture out to sea unknowingly Watch out for the monster, he has his eyes set on you. I am the body which you found washed ashore Tired and cold, a look of despair on my face Will you run and tell the world what you saw? Or will you push me back to sea and walk away? I’ll be waiting for you at the ending of this nightmare.

Guardians of the sky, you were made from my depression To fill the hole that is my heart as an escape from my obsession My own pretty demon, covered in black that doesn’t belong to your skin And metal driven through your face that could never be able to replace The love that you couldn’t let in You make me sick I get lost in the gaze I can’t forget, It reminds me so much of the sky Cover myself in the clouds to keep the blue from getting out So I can leave you behind You make me sick Beautiful demoness, look at how far you’ve fallen You shed your wings, refuse to sing, and now you’ve messed up everything Guardians of the sky, that cover the blue in black smoke Smoke that chokes you, but you inhale just to feel again You make me sick

about

Dreamstate is the debut album of Eric Francis. It contains songs that he wrote over seven years, from when he first became interested in rock music.

The name Dreamstate refers to the state of being where the mind starts to let go of reality and enter slumber, but is still aware of its consciousness. In this state, thoughts of reality and dreams mix, and the mind stops being able to determine which is which, until it lets go of one or the other.
